Is Jesus Real?

I just read the blog, "If Jesus were here today, He probably wouldn't be a Christian" and I loved it! It is well worth the read. I agree. I don't think Jesus would be accepted by many Christian churches if he were alive today.

Come to think of it, it is because of religion that Jesus was never "real" to me. When I was in my twenties I went on a "church hopping" binge - going to all sorts of different church services on a personal mission to have an experience of Jesus. After several months, I ended up throwing in the towel and feeling more alienated. (Not about my faith in God but about getting to know Jesus). The pastors, priests and ministers spoke about Jesus but didn't give me a personal sense of Him.

But wait! My story doesn't end here! do I say this without sounding overly evangelical? (I am definitely not an evalengical Christian - far from it.) Anyway, I did after all, end up finding out how to connect with Jesus, on real level. It is awesome! Actually this method of prayer can be used to have a relationship with any divine being you feel kinship with. I happen to feel a close connection with Mary Magdalene too and I use this method to have a real experience of her presence as well. If you want to try it, I have posted the guided meditation method here. I would love to hear your experiences with this method of prayer too!
